When storing valuable reagents, biological samples, pharmaceuticals, and laboratory media, temperature stability is just as important as refrigeration. The Sanyo LabCool MPR-721-PA Laboratory Refrigerator is engineered to provide outstanding temperature uniformity, rapid recovery after door openings, and dependable long-term performance for research, clinical, pharmaceutical, and industrial laboratories. With a spacious 24.2 cubic foot (684 L) capacity and an adjustable operating range of 2°C to 23°C, the MPR-721-PA offers exceptional flexibility for a wide variety of laboratory storage applications.
Designed with forced-air circulation, microprocessor temperature controls, and an intelligent cycle defrost system, the MPR-721-PA maintains consistent cabinet temperatures while minimizing the temperature fluctuations commonly associated with conventional automatic defrost refrigerators. These features have made the LabCool series a trusted choice in biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, hospitals, universities, and research laboratories worldwide. (Note: these units may be branded as either Sanyo or Panasonic.)
Many laboratories pair the MPR-721-PA with ultra-low freezers for long-term sample preservation, laboratory freezers for frozen storage, biosafety cabinets for sterile sample preparation, and centrifuges to create a complete laboratory cold storage system.

The MPR-721-PA is designed to provide dependable refrigeration while minimizing temperature variation throughout the cabinet. A powerful forced-air circulation system distributes conditioned air evenly across every shelf, helping maintain consistent storage conditions regardless of product placement.
Unlike conventional timed defrost systems, Sanyo's electronically controlled cycle defrost operates only when necessary. This significantly reduces temperature fluctuations during defrost while helping maintain sample integrity for temperature-sensitive reagents, biological materials, and pharmaceutical products. Powerful hermetically sealed refrigeration components also provide excellent pull-down performance following frequent door openings.
The MPR-721-PA is commonly used for storing:
Laboratory reagents
Cell culture media
Biological specimens
Antibodies
Enzymes
Pharmaceutical products
Diagnostic kits
Quality control materials
Environmental samples
Research chemicals
The MPR-721-PA is well suited for:
Biotechnology companies
Pharmaceutical manufacturers
Academic research laboratories
Clinical laboratories
Hospitals

Specifications compiled from Sanyo/Panasonic manufacturer literature and American Instrument Exchange product information.
Every Sanyo LabCool MPR-721-PA received by American Instrument Exchange undergoes a comprehensive inspection and performance evaluation before shipment. Our technicians verify refrigeration performance, confirm temperature accuracy using calibrated instrumentation, inspect alarms, shelving, door seals, controller operation, and overall cabinet integrity. Each refrigerator is thoroughly cleaned, and worn components are replaced as necessary before shipment.
Laboratories building complete cold storage systems frequently purchase ultra-low freezers, laboratory freezers, biosafety cabinets, centrifuges, and additional laboratory refrigerators from American Instrument Exchange.
The MPR-721-PA ships by freight from American Instrument Exchange. Before installation, verify doorway clearances, available electrical service, and adequate ventilation around the cabinet. Allow the refrigerator to stabilize at its operating temperature before loading valuable laboratory materials to ensure optimum temperature uniformity.
