The refurbished SHEL LAB SCO58 CO₂ Incubator is engineered for high-volume laboratories requiring exceptional capacity, uniformity, and reliability. With an expansive 58 cu. ft. (1641 L) chamber, advanced infrared CO₂ sensing, and precise temperature control, this unit is ideal for large-scale cell culture, tissue engineering, and bioproduction workflows.
Designed for large-scale applications, the SCO58 accommodates roller bottle systems, bulk culture vessels, and high sample volumes—perfect for production environments and large research facilities.
The air jacket system provides excellent thermal performance with ±0.5°C uniformity at 37°C and stable control across the chamber, ensuring reproducible results for sensitive cultures.
An advanced infrared (IR) CO₂ sensor enables rapid recovery after door openings and maintains accurate CO₂ levels independent of humidity or temperature fluctuations.
The SCO58 includes a flip-out ramp and large interior clearance, making it ideal for roller bottle apparatus and large-scale cell harvesting workflows.
Supports up to ~95% relative humidity, minimizing evaporation and maintaining optimal conditions for cell growth.
Constructed with 300-series stainless steel and coved corners, the interior resists corrosion and simplifies cleaning for contamination control.
Includes a copper-caged HEPA filtration system and heated CO₂ inlet, reducing contamination risks while maintaining uniform conditions throughout the chamber.
Applications for the SHEL LAB SCO58 CO₂ Incubator include Large-scale cell culture and expansion, biopharmaceutical production, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, vaccine and biologics development and academic and industrial research labs, among others.
Large-capacity CO₂ incubators like the SCO58 are designed for high-volume cell culture, including bioproduction, large-scale research, and applications requiring many culture vessels or roller bottles.
IR sensors provide fast, accurate CO₂ recovery after door openings and are not affected by humidity or temperature, ensuring stable culture conditions.
Yes. Units refurbished by American Instrument Exchange are fully inspected, calibrated, and tested to ensure dependable performance comparable to new systems.
Its large interior, high load capacity, and included ramp system make it specifically designed for roller bottle apparatus and large culture setups.
Features such as HEPA filtration, copper components, stainless steel chamber construction, and easy-clean design help reduce contamination risk.
Routine cleaning, CO₂ calibration, and monitoring humidity levels are recommended. The durable interior design simplifies maintenance and cleaning.
Refurbished units provide substantial cost savings, faster delivery, and proven reliability, making them ideal for labs scaling operations without exceeding budget.
Yes, all equipment from American Instrument Exchange comes with a warranty.
Used/reconditioned/refurbished equipment is tested to make sure it operates to the manufacturer's specifications and comes with a 90-day warranty (unless otherwise noted). New equipment comes with a warranty from the manufacturer.
Testing requirements vary across all the equipment categories we sell. Temperature controlled units are tested with NIST traceable probes and data loggers. Gaskets, external housing, glass, handles, controls and control screens are all thoroughly inspected for integrity and functionality.
We test all equipment using the manufacturer's parameters and specifications to confirm that the unit operates properly.
We can ship products both nationally and internationally using a well-established network of transporters. Smaller items will ship via UPS. Larger equipment will be palletized and shipped either LTL or air-ride, depending on the specific equipment and/or delivery requirements.
