The Thermo Scientific 3552-10A Flammable Material Storage Freezer is a laboratory-grade, safety-engineered cold storage solution designed for the secure freezing of volatile chemicals, flammable solvents, and temperature-sensitive reagents. Built to eliminate ignition risks while maintaining stable sub-zero conditions, this unit is ideal for laboratories operating under strict NFPA and OSHA compliance standards.
Spark-free interiors to reduce risk of internal explosion. Manual defrost. Tough white exterior. CFC-and HCFC-free refrigeration system and insulation. Designed to meet NFPA 45 and 99 along with OSHA article1910.307.
With an approximate 20 cu. ft. capacity and a temperature range of -20°C to -12°C, the 3552-10A is optimized for storing enzymes, pharmaceuticals, reagents, and volatile compounds that require both low temperatures and a spark-free environment.
Applications include storage of flammable solvents (ethanol, methanol, acetone), preservation of temperature-sensitive reagents and enzymes, safe storage of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), pharmaceutical and life science sample storage, and industrial and chemical laboratory applications.
Manual defrost laboratory freezers like the 3552-10A are especially suited for temperature-sensitive materials, as they avoid the warming cycles associated with auto-defrost systems.
Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians verify the accuracy of temperature controls and readouts of all freezers, making sure that the units hold temperature to within the manufacturer specified tolerance. Additionally, we replace any hardware or parts as is necessary and if needed replace refrigerant. We clean all freezers thoroughly.
The Thermo flammable material storage freezer above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipping.
We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after testing and cleaning.
