Research laboratories
Many laboratories pair the Thermo Forma E12560 with laboratory refrigerators for controlled sample storage, ultra-low freezers for long-term preservation, biosafety cabinets for sterile sample preparation, and centrifuges** **for sample processing before environmental testing.
The Thermo Forma E12560 is well suited for pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotechnology companies, quality assurance laboratories, food and beverage testing facilities, universities, environmental research laboratories, contract testing organizations, and industrial research departments requiring precise environmental control. Its combination of refrigeration, dehumidification, and accurate temperature regulation makes it particularly valuable for laboratories operating under validated testing protocols and regulatory guidelines.
Unlike conventional laboratory incubators that operate only above ambient temperatures, the Thermo Forma E12560 integrates a refrigeration system capable of maintaining chamber temperatures from 0°C to 50°C. An additional refrigeration coil actively removes moisture from the chamber, allowing humidity levels to remain at or below ambient conditions during testing. This combination of temperature control and dehumidification makes the E12560 an excellent solution for pharmaceutical stability testing, packaging evaluations, and environmental conditioning where consistent, reproducible chamber conditions are essential.
The 244-liter (8.6 cubic foot) chamber of the Thermo Forma E12560 provides generous capacity for laboratories performing long-term environmental testing, stability studies, and controlled conditioning of products and materials. Its spacious interior accommodates pharmaceutical stability samples, packaged products, medical devices, food and beverage products, environmental specimens, agricultural materials, research samples, and other items requiring tightly regulated temperature conditions.
Multiple adjustable shelf positions allow laboratories to configure the chamber for a variety of sample sizes while maintaining uniform airflow throughout the interior. To achieve the best temperature consistency, samples should be evenly distributed throughout the chamber with adequate clearance between shelves and chamber walls. Proper loading promotes efficient air circulation and helps maintain reproducible testing conditions during extended study periods.
The Thermo Forma E12560 was designed for continuous operation while maximizing temperature stability and minimizing operating costs. Its insulated cabinet and microprocessor-based control system efficiently regulate both heating and refrigeration, helping maintain precise chamber conditions throughout long-duration testing protocols.
The integrated refrigeration system allows operation from 0°C to 50°C, while the dedicated dehumidification coil removes excess moisture from the chamber when required. This combination provides greater environmental control than conventional laboratory incubators without requiring separate refrigeration equipment. The corrosion-resistant stainless steel chamber is easy to clean, and the durable refrigeration system is engineered for dependable laboratory service over years of routine operation.

The E12560 is designed for pharmaceutical stability studies, shelf-life testing, packaging validation, environmental simulation, product conditioning, food and beverage testing, agricultural research, material aging studies, and other applications requiring controlled environmental conditions.
A standard laboratory incubator typically heats samples above ambient temperature. The Thermo Forma E12560 incorporates both heating and refrigeration, allowing it to maintain temperatures from 0°C to 50°C while providing controlled environmental conditions for a broader range of testing applications.
The integrated dehumidification system helps maintain humidity levels at or below ambient conditions when required. This is beneficial for packaging evaluations, material conditioning, stability testing, and other studies where excess moisture could influence test results.
The chamber is commonly used for pharmaceutical products, packaged medical devices, food and beverage products, agricultural samples, environmental specimens, research materials, electronic components, and other products requiring controlled temperature conditioning.
Yes. The Thermo Forma E12560 was engineered for continuous laboratory operation and is well suited for long-duration stability studies, shelf-life evaluations, and environmental conditioning protocols.
Yes. The stainless steel interior, removable shelves, smooth chamber surfaces, and accessible refrigeration components simplify routine cleaning and preventative maintenance while supporting dependable long-term operation.
The E12560 is widely used by pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotechnology companies, quality assurance laboratories, contract testing organizations, universities, food and beverage manufacturers, environmental laboratories, and industrial research facilities.
Purchasing a refurbished Thermo Forma E12560 from American Instrument Exchange provides laboratories with dependable environmental testing equipment at substantial savings compared with purchasing new equipment. Combining an 8.6 cubic foot chamber, integrated refrigeration, active dehumidification, digital microprocessor controls, and a durable stainless steel interior, the E12560 is an excellent solution for stability studies, environmental testing, and controlled sample conditioning. Every chamber is inspected and tested prior to shipment and includes a 90-day warranty for added confidence.
An additional coil in the refrigeration system maintains humidity at or below ambient conditions. The dehumidification system incorporates an evaporator pressure regulator to markedly extend the lower range of the typical Temperature/RH curve.
The Thermo Forma E12560 is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test ovens using a digital data logger to verify the accuracy of temperature controls and readouts. If it’s a CO2 incubator, we use a Fyrite indicator to measure CO2 levels in the chamber and confirm the accuracy of the onboard display. We replace any hardware or parts as is necessary and clean all incubators thoroughly prior to shipment.
Additionally, if you have specific testing requirements or requests, please inform us. We will gladly work with you to ensure these requirements are addressed during testing.
