Thermo Hamilton Concept Series Chemical Fume Hoods are innovative and ergonomic fume hoods that provide superior protection while saving energy. The 89-cm (35") viewing height allows you to perform experiments without having to bend over. The low-profile airfoil on the front of the unit provides obstruction-free access to the hood.
Counter-balanced sash design allows effortless access to the interior. The secondary trough design contains spills to the interior, keeping you and the rest of your laboratory protected. The low-flow design and advanced sash positioning system provide proper containment and removal of hazardous fumes at lower velocities, saving energy and money.
The exterior of the Thermo Hamilton Concept hood is made of epoxy-coated stainless steel. The interior liner is made of a chemical-resistant polyresin, providing years of uncompromised protection.
The baffles are fixed to maximize the capture of airflow inside the fume hood while minimizing static pressure and noise levels. Utilize the toggle lock feature to secure the top-hung sash at the full-open position while loading or unloading the fume hood.
Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians inspect all fume hoods to make sure that the baffles are present and intact, the interior lights are functioning, and that the sash is intact and runs smoothly on the tracks along with the counterweights. We can also provide information on the fixtures installed on each hood.
Please note that we do not sell or provide blower motors with fume hoods. Every fume hood installation has different requirements due to the desired CFM and the distance the air needs to travel to exhaust out of the building. Therefore, you must consult with your HVAC technician for the purchase and installation of a blower motor for your fume hood.

We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
Q: Do you sell blower motors with the Fisher Hamilton Concept chemical fume hood?
A: The type of blower motor you need to install this unit in your lab will depend on manner different factors, including airflow dynamics, duct size, length and bends of exhaust system, exterior placement of outflow, and balancing, among others. We suggest you consult with an HVAC firm with experience installing chemical fume hoods in order to find the right blower motor to pair with any hood you purchase.
Q: What kind of base cabinets are included?
A: Each hood will include the base cabinets that were originally installed in a lab with the unit, or a comparable set. If you have specific storage requirements such as flammable materials, chemical, or sound dampening vacuum pump storage, please contact our sales team.
Q: Does the Fisher Hamilton Concept Fume Hood ship fully assembled?
A: Unless otherwise specified chemical fume hoods from American Instrument Exchange ship assembled and resting on the epoxy work surface, with the counter weight secured to mitigate the chances of damage during transport. Base cabinets will ship on a separate pallet.
Q: Is the epoxy work surface in this fume hood chemical resistant?
A: Yes, the epoxy work surface is designed for safe use with chemicals. However, Spilled liquids, acids or corrosive materials should be cleaned immediately and the surface neutralized with water or a proper neutralizing agent to prevent damage to the fume hood interior, work surface and apparatus or equipment installed in the fume hood. Please note that special, specific fume hood models are needed for use with perchloric acid.
Q: What’s the face velocity of the Fisher Hamilton Concept Fume Hood?
A: Depending on installation factors and blower motor selection, face velocities can range from 60 to 100 fpm.
