The VirTis Model 23 Micro Homogenizer is used to pulverize or liquidate tissue samples. The base features a dial to control the blade and blending mechanism. The mast supports two adjustable arms. The lower arm is a centering clamp that is used to ensure that the blade remains centered and in position. The upper arm supports the motor and blade components.

A glass reservoir that sits on the base, is filled with ice to keep the tissue sample very cold. The smaller chamber with the homogenizer blade and the tissue sample, is lowered into the reservoir.

This homogenizer is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
