The VWR Model 1173-PD Recirculating Chiller delivers efficient cooling with a positive displacement pump providing flow rates up to 1 gallon per minute. Designed for precise temperature control, this compact and portable chiller efficiently recirculates coolant through laboratory instruments such as rotary evaporators, multi-condensers, and many more. By removing excess heat generated during experiments, it ensures stable and controlled temperatures, protecting equipment and supporting sensitive processes.
With a powerful ½ HP compressor, the chiller achieves increased cooling capacity, operating at 750W at 0°C. Its temperature range spans from -10°C to 40°C (-4°F to 104°F) and can be easily adjusted via the user-friendly control panel. The brightly lit digital display provides real-time temperature readings, along with pressure and flow rate monitoring at the touch of a button, enhancing user convenience.
The VWR Recirculating Chiller 1173-PD’s positive displacement pump powers a flow rate of up to 3.75 liters per minute (1 gallon per minute) with a maximum adjustable pressure of 100 psi. Although positive displacement pumps offer less flow compared to magnetic centrifuge pumps, they provide the higher pressure necessary for demanding applications. This makes the chiller suitable for tasks such as laser etching, reaction vessels, plasma etching, AA furnaces, ICPs, rotary evaporators, condensers, and vacuum systems.
Using the VWR 1173-PD Chiller instead of a tap water solution helps reduce water consumption and minimizes maintenance associated with scale buildup. Its reliable cooling performance, compact size, and user-friendly operation make it a valuable addition to laboratories requiring precise temperature regulation. This chiller not only enhances productivity but also protects essential equipment, contributing to successful research and efficient processes across various scientific fields.
This VWR 1173-PD is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications.
While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run.
Additionally, if you have specific testing requirements or requests, please inform us. We will gladly work with you to ensure these requirements are addressed during testing.
