VWR GDM-72-SCI-HC-TSL01 Triple Glass Door Laboratory Refrigerator

As laboratory operations grow, centralized refrigerated storage becomes increasingly important for organization, workflow, and sample protection. The VWR GDM-72-SCI-HC-TSL01 Triple Glass Door Laboratory Refrigerator is a high-capacity laboratory refrigerator designed for facilities that require exceptional refrigerated storage volume without sacrificing temperature uniformity or accessibility. Offering an impressive 72 cubic feet of storage and a controlled operating temperature range of 3°C to 5°C, the GDM-72-SCI-HC-TSL01 is ideal for biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, universities, hospitals, clinical laboratories, and biorepositories that manage large inventories of temperature-sensitive materials.

Built specifically for laboratory environments, the GDM-72 features three Low-E insulated glass doors, positive forced-air refrigeration, environmentally friendly R290 natural refrigerant, and oversized refrigeration components engineered for continuous operation. Excellent product visibility reduces unnecessary door openings, while the spacious interior allows laboratories to consolidate refrigerated inventory into one organized storage system. Integrated laboratory features—including probe access ports and an internal duplex electrical outlet—also make the refrigerator suitable for chromatography equipment, analytical instruments, and other specialized laboratory applications.

Many laboratories pair the GDM-72 with ultra-low freezers for long-term biological preservation, laboratory freezers for frozen storage, biosafety cabinets for sterile sample preparation, and centrifuges to create a complete laboratory cold storage workflow.

Overview

The GDM-72-SCI-HC-TSL01 is engineered for laboratories requiring centralized refrigerated storage with excellent product visibility. Three independently opening insulated glass doors allow personnel to access one section of the refrigerator while minimizing temperature disruption to the remaining storage compartments.

Its oversized forced-air refrigeration system continuously circulates conditioned air throughout the cabinet to maintain excellent temperature uniformity, while the large interior accommodates high sample volumes without compromising airflow. Laboratory-specific features—including probe access ports and an internal duplex outlet—allow the refrigerator to support chromatography systems, analytical equipment, or monitoring devices in addition to conventional refrigerated storage.

Common Applications

The GDM-72-SCI-HC-TSL01 is commonly used for storing:

  • Laboratory reagents

Refurbishment & Testing Process

Every VWR GDM-72-SCI-HC-TSL01 received by American Instrument Exchange undergoes a comprehensive inspection before shipment. Our technicians verify temperature accuracy using calibrated digital temperature probes, inspect the refrigeration system, digital controls, shelving, lighting, door gaskets, electrical outlet, access ports, and overall cabinet integrity, then thoroughly clean and performance-test the refrigerator before shipment.

Laboratories building complete cold storage systems frequently purchase ultra-low freezers, laboratory freezers, biosafety cabinets, centrifuges, and additional laboratory refrigerators from American Instrument Exchange.

Shipping & Installation Considerations

The VWR GDM-72-SCI-HC-TSL01 ships by freight from American Instrument Exchange. Because of its large footprint, verify doorway clearances, hallway widths, elevator capacities, and installation space before delivery. Allow adequate ventilation around the cabinet and permit the refrigerator to stabilize at operating temperature before loading valuable laboratory materials.
