The Nikon Diaphot Inverted Phase Contrast Microscope is a versatile tissue culture microscope designed for efficient and precise imaging. Its advanced optical design ensures the shortest and most efficient light path, enhancing image clarity and contrast. A built-in turret assembly features a focusable Bertrand lens, photomask reticle, and dark slide, streamlining functionality for various applications.
Engineered for photomicrography, the Diaphot incorporates photographic capability directly into its optical system. Its optical design features a built-in binocular body inclined at 45 degrees and a single reflecting surface within the body. This configuration reduces reflections and glare while maximizing image contrast, making it ideal for high-quality imaging.
The Siedentopf-design binocular head, built onto a durable die-cast body, includes a focusing Bertrand lens for quick alignment of the phase annular ring. A dark slide position in the turret eliminates stray light during time-lapse cinemicrography. Additionally, a low-power focusing magnifier ensures sharp photomicrography with 2x and 4x objectives (not included).
Positioned just below the binocular head, the stage allows easy access to and clear viewing of the specimen area. The coaxial coarse and fine focusing system adjusts the nosepiece, leaving the stage stationary for specimen manipulation during observation.
The Diaphot includes a 12-volt, 50-watt halogen illuminator with a switchable light path for visual and photographic use. A lever toggles between 100% visual output or a 20% visual/80% photo output, while another lever selects between the front photo port for 35-millimeter cameras and the side photo port for large-format photomicrography, cinemicrography, or CCTV applications.
For automatic exposure 35-millimeter photomicrography, the Diaphot supports Nikon FE or Nikon F3 camera backs (not included), which attach directly to the "F" bayonet mount at the front. Focusing and composition are accomplished through the binocular head. A lever below the head introduces the photomask reticle into the optical path, allowing precise focus alignment with the film plane.
This Nikon Diaphot Inverted Microscope is used and reconditioned. We bring in a professional optics technician to thoroughly assess the functionality of every component in your microscope. This includes inspecting the objectives, moving parts, eyepieces, illumination system, and all other critical components to ensure optimal performance.
If you have any specific requirements or particular concerns, please let us know. We are more than happy to accommodate your requests and ensure they are fully addressed during the testing and verification process.
