The Thermo Scientific TSX3005SA Lab Refrigerator is designed with features that support sample protection and sustainability objectives for the storage of media, reagents, chemotherapy, pharmaceutical and other medical and laboratory-grade storage requiring 3° to 7°C. The Series’ V-drive technology is designed to provide temperature uniformity that continually adapts to user patterns. This provides significant energy savings without compromising protection.
Featuring over 450W of reserve refrigeration capacity, the TSX series has the power to protect your product from temperature swings as a result of frequent and prolonged door access, large product loads, and other activities that introduce heat to the cabinet.
The TSX Series delivers the performance and quality you need, in addition to the low sound, low energy, and exceptional user experience you deserve. It was designed to safely store medical and laboratory products, including vaccines, pharmaceuticals, media and reagents requiring a temperature range of 3°C to 7°C, and it has easy to use microprocessor control with interior light, setpoint security and alarms.

This equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test refrigerators using a calibrated digital chart recorder to verify the accuracy of temperature controls and readouts. We replace any hardware or parts as is necessary and clean all refrigerators thoroughly prior to shipment.
The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment.
We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after testing and cleaning.
What accessories are included with the Thermo TSX3005 SA laboratory refrigerator?
This listing includes the used/reconditioned laboratory refrigerator body itself, tested and cleaned by American Instrument Exchange’s technicians. We include shelving unless otherwise noted. Specialized accessories like external chart recorders or wireless monitors may not be unless specifically shown in the listing.
Are the shelves adjustable?
Yes, the interior shelves are adjustable. This allows for flexible organization of samples and media, so that you can customize storage to meet your workflow needs.
What kind of compressor and cooling technology does it use?
This model uses V-drive variable-speed compressor technology that continuously adjusts compressor speed based on user patterns (like door openings), which helps maintain uniform temperatures and save energy
V-Drive” is shorthand for “Variable Drive” technology. Thermo designs this cooling system to dynamically adjust the compressor speed, meaning that the system can ramp up cooling when a door is opened and temperature recovery is needed quickly.
Once temperature recovery is achieved and the temp of the chamber has stabilized, the compressor speed slows. This ensures both temperature stability and energy efficient operation. Thermo TSX series refrigerators, freezers, and ultralow freezers all feature V-Drive technology.
How is this refrigerator tested before shipment?
Technicians at American Instrument Exchange verify temperature accuracy with calibrated instruments, inspect and service critical components, and thoroughly clean both the interior and exterior before shipping to ensure it meets performance expectations.
Can the TSX3005 refrigerator be used for medical or pharmaceutical storage?
Yes, this model is suitable for storing media, reagents, vaccines, pharmaceuticals, and other lab-grade materials requiring controlled 2 °C–8 °C storage conditions and offers reliable performance for research, clinical, or industrial labs.
