The RC 6 Plus centrifuge is engineered to provide exceptional safety and flexibility. It meets all CE and CSA safety requirements without bolting the unit to the floor, making it easy to install or relocate in your facility.
The powerful refrigeration system can cool all rotors to 4°C at top speeds, keeping samples from damage due to heat or freezing. It also has a pre-cool function cools rotors. It is compatible with many Sorvall RC-6 and RC-5 series rotors for added cost effectiveness.

Intuitive controls allow easy operation by all users, with a bright LCD screen that allows you to monitor your set and run conditions at a glance. RPM/RCF Control allows the user to set runs to a maximum speed or to a desired g-force without a protocol conversion. GMP/GLP- Compatible Data Management offers traceability and quality control for biopharmaceutical processing needs.

The RC6 Plus has a 30-program memory that allows common protocols to be stored and retrieved easily and without error in a multi-user environment and the step-mode provides applications flexibility.
The RC6 Plus centrifuge is capable of operation in more than one mode to meet a wide range of applications. Run conditions are selected using the touch keyboard. Actual and set run conditions are displayed.
System interlocks keep the centrifuge from starting if the chamber door is open, and prevent the door from being opened if a run is in progress and the rotor is spinning. System interlocks will also automatically terminate a run in progress if a system malfunctions.
The RC6 Plus drive system has a high-frequency brushless motor for fast separations and reduced maintenance.
The refrigeration system, charged with environmentally- friendly CFC-free SUVA refrigerant, offers reliable performance similar to other Thermo Scientific Superspeed centrifuges. The high-capacity refrigeration system is a low temperature, hermetically-sealed unit that consists of a compressor, a condenser, an evaporator/rotor chamber, and interconnecting tubing.
Testing
Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly.
We test refrigeration controls to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. We measure all tolerances and clean the exterior and interior of all units. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor, we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.

Does the equipment come with a warranty?
Yes, all equipment from American Instrument Exchange comes with a warranty. Used/reconditioned/refurbished equipment is tested to make sure it operates to the manufacturer's specifications and comes with a 90-day warranty (unless otherwise noted). New equipment comes with a warranty from the manufacturer.
How do you test and recondition the equipment?
Testing requirements vary across all the equipment categories we sell. Temperature controlled units are tested with NIST traceable probes and data loggers. Gaskets, external housing, glass, handles, controls and control screens are all thoroughly inspected for integrity and functionality. We test all equipment using the manufacturer's parameters and specifications to confirm that the unit operates properly.
How do products ship from American Instrument Exchange?
We can ship products both nationally and internationally using a well-established network of transporters. Smaller items will ship via UPS. Larger equipment will be palletized and shipped either LTL or air-ride, depending on the specific equipment and/or delivery requirements.
Return and order cancellation policy
American Instrument Exchange will accept the return of any product that is not working as represented and could not be replaced or repaired to the customer's satisfaction during the warranty period. Customers who cancel orders after refurbishing has begun will be subject to a cancellation and restocking fee of between 20% and 40%.

How does your price matching policy work?
We strive to keep our pricing competitive and reasonable. If you find comparable items for sale at a lower price from other vendors please send us a link and or quote for the item and we'll do our best to match or beat the price.
Can I see the equipment in person before committing to a purchase?
Customers are welcome to make an appointment to view equipment in our warehouse. Given our workload we may not be able to test or clean the equipment prior to your arrival if you have not committed to an order.
1023 Western Avenue is a working warehouse, not a showroom, and customers should dress appropriately and wear closed toe shoes.
