The Thermo Sorvall Legend XFR is a refrigerated floor standing model that can fit underneath counters and save valuable lab bench space. The Sorvall Legend XFR has locking casters. The Auto-Lock III rotor system allows the installation and exchange of rotors with just the push of a button for quick switch between applications as well as easy chamber access enables cleaning convenience, reducing contamination risk, and leading to improved research and a healthier working environment. 

The Thermo Sorvall Legend XFR can hold 99 programs; has a timer up to 99 hours and 59 minutes, temperature range of -10°C to +40°C; and advanced sound-reducing technology resulting in quiet running noise level, making it the perfect centrifuge for both smaller and larger labs.

Process 4L in a traditional 3L general purpose centrifuge footprint with the Thermo Scientific TX-1000 rotor. High-throughput capacities for processing more tubes in less runs saves time while reducing energy and wear. The rotor features Thermo Scientific Slide Coat finish, an advanced lubricant and corrosion resistant coating. Dual-purpose large bucket design accepts adapters for tubes or microplates available directly from Thermo Scientific. The TX-1000 rotor allows you to spin up to 40 x 50 mL conical tubes, 196 blood tubes or 24 microplates.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated, we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned.  If the unit is being purchased with a rotor, we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.

Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit.
