The Thermo Jouan C3i is a versatile centrifuge that can be used for routine biology, cell culturing and research lab applications, as well as microvolume applications when utilizing the PULSE key and fast acceleration protocol. Additionally, the radius can be precisely specified for every insert, resulting in a precise set and display of the RCF. A simple, intuitive control panel gives you single keystroke access to frequently used programs while the microprocessor based KeyWrite-D interface provides precise and repeatable control of your parameters. G-force run control ensures transferability of protocols from other centrifuges, without cross-referencing to RPM. The Thermo Jouan C3i has a brushless induction motor is designed and manufactured by Thermo Electron to provide years of service with minimal maintenance.

All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned.  If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.

Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. Fixed angle rotors are closely inspected for body integrity; swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets are checked for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.

The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
