Thermo Savant SpeedVac Integrated Vacuum Concentrator System

Thermo Scientific Savant SpeedVac SPD1030 concentrators are fully integrated systems that combine concentrator, refrigerated cold trap, diaphragm pump and vacuum gauge in a single, compact unit. The Savant SpeedVac SPD1030 System is designed for medium capacity (i.e., 120 x 1.5 mL tubes and other formats).

A variety of rotors to support sample formats from micro-centrifuge tubes, vials and microplates to large-volume flasks can be purchased new. The system fits in a standard laboratory fume hood.

The SPD1030-115 contains an oil-free PTFE diaphragm vacuum pump, making it virtually maintenance-free. Rapid evaporation and efficient solvent removal is enhanced with a radiant cover, while vacuum ramping and pressure controls eliminate sample bumping to maintain sample integrity.

The SpeedVac Systems’ standard glass lids are equipped with a soft-close mechanism that locks securely to help ensure safety for both samples and technicians.

Integrated design and intuitive user interface ensure simplicity and control. The intuitive control panel incorporates a bright display and offers three preset programs and three user-defined programs.

Oil-free vacuum source eliminates the need to add or change oil. Data integrity and transfer ability to download data from a USB port.

The SPD1030-115 requires 3” of clearance for ventilation on all sides.

Testing

This Thermo Savant SpeedVac SPD1030 Concentrator is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly.

If the centrifuge is refrigerated, we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned.

If the unit is being purchased with a rotor, we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.
