The Thermo Scientific Sorvall ST 16 general purpose centrifuge series is perfect for everyday sample processing, including clinical protocols, cell culture applications and microplate processing. The refrigerated version is ideal for handling temperature-sensitive sample processing between -10° and +40°C. Intuitive controls simplify operation and provide detailed information on a wide range of operating parameters and processing status for optimal performance. Patented motorized lid latch enables one finger downward motion for easiest closing and locking of centrifuge lid, even on tall benches.

Secure locking system allows easy push-button installation and exchange of rotors and saves time switching between applications. Easy access to rotor chamber for quick cleaning, provides a healthier working environment and longer unit life. Advanced rotor management system maximizes acceleration, braking and residual load imbalance for each rotor and bucket option.

Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated, we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor, we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.

Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
