The 8.5 cubic foot (165L) electropolished stainless-steel chamber offers a compact footprint and is easily stackable, making it ideal for space-conscious laboratories. Adjustable, perforated shelving allows flexible configuration, while the reversible exterior door adds convenience for different setups. As a result, this design ensures optimal use of space without compromising functionality.
For maintaining stable culturing conditions, an in-chamber fan gently distributes clean, humidified air and enables a fast recovery of all parameters. The auto-stop function pauses fan operation during door openings, minimizing air exchange and preventing fluctuations in environmental conditions. Moreover, this feature enhances the consistency required for precise research applications.
The i160 incorporates a directly heated water reservoir, ensuring stable high relative humidity levels and preventing culture desiccation. This design also leads to five times faster humidity recovery compared to traditional water pan systems. The inner chamber remains condensation-free, eliminating potential breeding grounds for contamination and enhancing culture reliability.
An overnight 180°C sterilization cycle simplifies cleaning and removes the need for separate autoclaving of parts. This process ensures uniform 6-log sterilization across all chamber surfaces, maintaining a sterile environment without added effort.
The Steri-Cycle i160 features the intuitive iCAN touchscreen control, which is door-mounted for easy accessibility and clear visibility. Users can navigate the interactive interface effortlessly and select from seven language options, thus making operation straightforward in diverse laboratory settings.
Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test incubators using a calibrated digital chart recorder to verify the accuracy of temperature controls and readouts. We replace any hardware or parts as is necessary and clean all incubators thoroughly.

So what is the steri-run cycle? What does it do?
The Stericycle is a high-heat cycle that provides sterilization by heating all internal surfaces (i.e. anything within the chamber) it 180C. This kills and eliminates any microorganisms, thus assuring a sterile environment.
So I need to remove samples before the sterilization run?
Yes, unless you want to kill your samples and potential melt a bunch of plastic.
I have a Thermo Stericycle 160i that isn’t working. Can you provide technical support?
We provide both field and depot repair services, depending on your location and the nature of the problem. While we can provide limited technical support by phone we suggest calling Thermo if you are looking for advice or operational support.
Do you sell HEPA filters and other accessories?
We source parts and other accessories we need for the refurbishment process either from Thermo or other non-OEM manufacturers. While we’re happy to sell you these at a mark up, our recommendation is to go straight to the source and buy them direct. You can contact our sales team if you are having trouble locating a supplier and we may be able to share a resource.
